DC Board of Elections, 2026 General Election ballots received (drop box, USPS, early vote centers)
Mail ballots returned (drop box plus USPS) and ballots cast at early vote centers, from the Board's three daily ballot-received reports. Updated Oct 30; retrieved Oct 30, 10:40 PM ET.
- DC reports three separate counts, each through 10/30: ballots received at drop boxes (reported by ward, from 10/13), ballots received by USPS (from 10/08, no ward breakdown), and ballots cast at early vote centers (from 10/26). Early vote centers are open 10/26 to 11/1.
- Mail ballots returned is the drop box count (37,124) plus the USPS count (33,579), added by us. The Board does not publish a single mail total or a count of mail ballots requested.
- DC is one jurisdiction, so there are no county figures. The Board publishes drop box counts by ward and early vote center counts by site; those are not loaded here.
- DC does not publish these counts by party registration.
