How this comparison is built
- Same point means the same number of days before Election Day: 5 days out in both years.
- 2024 source: Kentucky State Board of Elections, current voter turnout (absentee), 2024 daily workbooks.
- The Board labels these numbers unofficial and says not to compare them with election results.
- Daily files were not published for every date (weekends and some weekdays missing); missing dates are omitted, not filled.
- The workbook carries a date, not a time of day. Counts look like they run through the end of the previous day (the first no-excuse in-person day, Oct 31, 2024, first shows in the Nov 1 file), the same basis as the 2026 files, so the two years line up by file date.
- In-person absentee means excused and no-excuse in-person voting before Election Day. Kentucky's no-excuse early voting window in 2024 was Oct 31 to Nov 2.
